William J. "Bill" Bohrman

William J. Bohrman, 91, of Oconomowoc, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Bill is survived by his daughter Beth (Errol) Schluter, nieces HelenAnne (Dale) Meyer of Warren, PA and Bobbie (Richard) Smith of Watertown, WI. Bill is also survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret Bohrman (nee Eschrich), brother Lloyd Bohrman and sisters Francis Fisher and Helen Westcott. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service in 1959. His last two years of service were spent recruiting in southeast Wisconsin. Bill was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association-Branch 14 in Milwaukee, WI, Tin Can Sailors, VFW, Golden K, Harmony Club and the Oconomowoc Area Senior Center. Bill was the police chief and village administrator for the Village of Oconomowoc Lake where he retired from in 1976. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was the ultimate caregiver for many friends. He was also a longtime volunteer at Shorehaven in Oconomowoc. Bill will be missed by all that knew him. A memorial service for Bill will take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Military honors will immediately follow the service. Bill will be laid to rest at Summit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's name to AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc, Fleet Reserve Association-Branch 14 of Milwaukee and the Hope Memorial Relay, c/o Kathy Jensen W5886 No. 14 Lane, Wallace, MI 49893.
