Arnold A. Schlender

Arnold A. Schlender, age 73, of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 01, 2018. Arnold is survived by his children Michael (Morgan) Schlender, Linda (Garrett) Schlender and Benjamin Schlender; his grandchildren Nicholas, Mya, Hadley, Freddy, Grayson, Noah and Tayler; his siblings Virginia, Daniel, Harold, Esther, Paul, Ronald, Alfred, Miriam and Pauline. Arnold was deeply loved and will be remembered by so many. He was designed by God to be a farmer. He worked alongside his dad, eventually taking over the farm where he was born. Over the course of his life he was not only a dairy and agricultural farmer but he was also a businessman, a mechanic, a farmer, a veterinarian, a father, a grandfather, a husband, a friend but most importantly, he was a child of God. He loved the Lord and was an amazing steward of what God entrusted to him. Arnold was a member of Grace Church and found peace in reading God’s word daily. He was quiet and reserved; a man of few words but great wisdom. He was always there for his family and proved to be a rock for those whom he loved and who loved him. Arnold was easy to please and found so much joy in the simple things of daily life. His hobbies include spending time with his kids and grandkids and staying busy with projects around the farm. He enjoyed attending the EAA, trucks pulls and farm shows. He had an awesome sense of humor and always had a twinkle in his eye. He was so much fun to be around and his absence will forever leave a deep void for many. Services for Arnold will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church (W274N1490, Riverland Dr, Pewaukee) on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 12 noon. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until time of service at 12 noon.
