Barbara A. Bell

Barb was born to Eternal Life on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the age of 83, at Care-Age of Brookfield, Wisconsin. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 30, 1941, to Thomas and Mary (Haas) Hosni. Barb was devoted to her family and built a lifetime of loving memories with her family and friends.

Barb met James Bell at a dance mixer. Jim was the president of their school’s Newman Club, and Barb was the secretary. Their shared interests threw them together often, and they fell in love and were married on January 28, 1961. Barb and Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with their large extended family. Barb and Jim were married for 63 years.

Barb was the loving mother of Thomas C. (Judy) Bell and James R. (Randi) Bell. When her kids were young, the family went on countless camping and fishing adventures and spent many weekends at their cabin on Bass Lake in Delta, Wisconsin. Barb loved babysitting, and there were always many kids around the house. She had a passion for crafting, and she enjoyed selling her masterpieces at her craft store.

Barb was the cherished grandmother of Jessica (Patrick) Last, Zachary (Kelly) Bell, Alec (Emilie) Bell, and Tyler Bell and the dear great-grandmother of Emerson, Beckett, Austen, Peyton, and Mazie. Barb loved being a “grandma” to other kids she babysat as well. She cared for her young grandchildren daily, and they made many amazing memories at parks, splash pads, museums, and the zoo. She loved cheering on her grandkids at their sporting events and school concerts. She was the Gigi the great-grandkids could always count on to have the best treats.

Barb was a social butterfly who made friends easily. She loved hosting family parties, especially for the holidays. She went all out for her Halloween costume parties, dressing up as a hippie, scarecrow, Raggedy Ann, Cat in the Hat, and more. She enjoyed elaborately decorating for Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and more. Barb loved hanging out with the gals at her condo, doing puzzles, playing games, book club, and other get-togethers. She enjoyed taking trips to visit her grandkids at college and other family vacations. Barb was passionate about volunteering at her church.

Barb is survived by her sisters Dody (David) Zimprich and Jeanne (Roger) Lalich as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James Bell and her brother Ronald Hosni.
