Barbara Ranta

Barbara Ranta, age 77 of Adams, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Barbara was born May 2, 1938 in Madison WI, to Lyle and Ella Landon. She married Donald Ranta in 1960. They made their home in Oconomowoc, WI where they raised three children, Jeffrey (Chandra) Ranta, Mike (Kelly) Ranta and Lori (Darren) Johnson. Barbara and Donald retired and moved to Adams in 2000. She is survived by Donald, her children, her grandchildren Nicole (Matt) McGonigle, Kevin (Stacee) Birr, Travis (Nikki) Ranta, Race Ranta, Jared Wright and Emma Johnson, her great grandchildren Trey, Conor and Ava. She is further survived by her brother William Landon along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Ella Landon - Duchow, her step-father William Duchow and her sister-in-laws Diana Landon and Patti Faust. Barbara enjoyed reading, dancing, going to movies, playing cards and most of all spending time with her family. A celebration of life will be held for Barbara on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 3:00 PM with a visitation for family and friends starting at 1:00 PM all to take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home.
