BEN KNOWLTON VANKORN SR.

On Saturday July 8, 2023, Ben entered into his heavenly home where he joined his sons. Ben was born on 10-24-1946 in Berwyn IL, to Ben and Florence VanKorn (Pankow). He was raised in Delafield, graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1964, and attended UW Whitewater. In 1965 he married his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra (Pfeiffer) VanKorn. They raised their 3 children in Oconomowoc participating and enjoying each of their children's activities. Ben spent his career working in the automotive finance and leasing industry. One of his proudest moments was when he and his sons started their own company, Vanguard Leasing. He also took great pride in his daughter's accomplishments and passion for individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life. Ben was known for his quick wit, his freakish knowledge of trivia, his competitive edge when it came to playing cards or any game, and his love of golf.

Ben is survived by his wife Sandra (Pfeiffer) VanKorn, daughter Jacqueline (Bruce) Mallow. Bonus daughter Shawn (Mike) Sanders. Grandchildren Nick (Kayla) Todd, Samantha Stoner, Meghan and Ally Sanders. Great- Grandchildren Kaden, Harper and Allaynna. Also numerous friends and family members whom he loved dearly.

Ben is preceded in death by his Sons, Ben and Daniel VanKorn, Parents and sister Katie Glickman-Zirkel.

The family would like to thank the many wonderful doctors and nurses who cared for Ben over the years, especially, most recently, nurse Natalie and the staff at Lake Country Dialysis, and Dr. Cheryl Serb.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 15, 2023 at Kettle Moraine United Presbyterian Church in Stone Bank (N66W32690 Cty Hwy K, Hartland WI) Visitation will take place from 9:00 -11:00am with a service at 11:00. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Stone Bank.

Memorials may be given to Kettle Moraine United Presbyterian Church or the donors choice.
