Bernard Elmer Babcock

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bernard Elmer Babcock, of Mauston, WI. Born on May 15, 1945, Buzz, as he was known to his friends, passed away on April 6, 2024, at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 78.

Buzz worked in the tool and die industry for many years, demonstrating his dedication and craftsmanship. Despite not obtaining a high school diploma, he excelled in his trade, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

Buzz is survived by his son, James (Jean) Babcock, grandsons James (Lindsey), Aeden Babcock and granddaughter Linda, great-granddaughter Aubree, brother Ed Babcock and sisters Rosemary Beix and Doris Sines, along with other extended family members. They will remember him fondly for his hard work, sense of humor, and love for his family.

Buzz was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Daisy, his wife Linda, son Dennis and several brothers and sisters and other relatives.

In accordance with Buzz's wishes, there will be a memorial service held at Crossing Community Church in Genesee Depot where family and friends can gather to celebrate Buzz's life and share cherished memories. The celebration will start at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. Buzz will be buried at St. Bruno's Cemetery next to his wife.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at AngelsGrace Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are welcome. Buzz will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
