Bernis Anderson

age 88, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010. She was born October 28, 1921 to Rachel and Orson Williams in the town of Pewaukee. Bernis is survived by her son Kevin Hansen and daughter Kim (Jerry) Thomasen, granddaughters Ashley and Meggan Thomasen, niece Janet (Merfyn) Hughes, nephew Bruce (Cindy) Williams, sister-in-laws Dorthea Hansen and Carol Larson as well as other relatives and friends. Bernis was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Hansen and second husband James Anderson, her sister Helen Williams, twin brother Burton (Joyce) Williams and Parents. Bernis graduated from Carroll College and taught High School for several years. She also worked in various capacities in the secretarial field. In later years Bernis was a Wal-Mart greeter. Bernis loved to write, sing, and dance. She was a terrific baker as well. Animals, especially dogs, were close to her heart. Bernis was truly a special lady! A celebration of Bernis’ life will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm with a visitation starting at 1:00 pm at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Oconomowoc. A private burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Memorials are suggested to Linden Court Waukesha in memory of Bernis Anderson.
