Betty J. Urban

Entered God’s loving arms on Friday September 14, 2018 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Attorney Raymond Urban. Proud Mommy of Dr. Michelle (Dr. Richard Holubowicz) and Chantelle (Mohsen) Salari. cherished Nanny of Sawyer and the late Skyler. She attended Marquette University where she met Ray, the love of her life. They were blessed with 59 years of marriage. She was a longtime resident of West Allis, where she taught 7th grade English at both Lane and Frank Lloyd Wright Junior High Schools. Her students will long remember her famous “Linking Verb Dance.” She was a charter member of Mary Queen of Heaven Parish. Betty loved spending time at the cottage on Lake Wisconsin with family and friends where many happy memories were made. Her nine year old grandson Sawyer was the light of her life and she treasured every moment they spent together. The last two years of her life were spent at the Three Pillars Senior Living Community in Dousman, where she felt rejuvenated. She loved the residents and staff, who became family. She participated in many of their social activities, and was a proud member of the Singing Ambassadors. Betty will be remembered for her engaging personality, love of music, and vibrant and stylish fashion choices. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the caring staff at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc for providing comfort to Betty and support to our family. A memorial service at Ewald Chapel in Three Pillars (375 Hwy 67, Dousman) will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018. A visitation will start at 11 am until time of service at 12 pm.
