Bonnie June Ali

Bonnie June Ali, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on August 4, 2021. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 7, 1945 to the late Andrew and Bernice Gunn. Bonnie is survived by her soulmate and best friend of over 60 years, Lynn Noel Ali; her beautiful children, Laura Lynn (Timothy) McComis, Karen Lynn (Floyd) Plowman, and Jeffrey Alan (Carolyn) Ali; her wonderful grandchildren, Erin Marie McComis, Steven Tyler McComis, and Nicolai Alan Ali. She will also be missed by many more family and friends. Bonnie and Lynn met when they were both very young. When she was 15 years old, they already knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They wed on December 7, 1963 after a long courtship. Bonnie and Lynn went on countless ski trips together, including frequent trips to Canada and the Rockies. Lynn fulfilled a youthful boast by taking Bonnie to ski in Switzerland for their 25th wedding anniversary. They attended over 100 plays, concerts, and musicals together. She loved to spend time outdoors, especially in her garden. To Bonnie, family was everything and was what life was all about. Special message from Lynn to Bonnie: Having such a wonderful life with you by my side, all I could ever hope for would be to spend one more day waking up with you in my arms. As I sang to you over 60 years ago, there will never be anyone else but you for me, never ever be, just couldn’t be anyone else but you. I love you so much. I will love you forever. As long as I live, I will honor our life together. I will love and cherish you and our family forever and ever. For now, goodbye my sweet Bonnie lassie. A visitation will take place on August 18, 2021 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (1165 E. Summit Avenue, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, with a service to follow. Inurnment will take place at Salem Cemetery immediately following the service.
