Bruce Edward Vosseller, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 70 on a beautiful fall day – October 14, 2016. Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of more than 46 years, Colomba (nee Saccomandi), their three children, Shannon (Shoko), Gina (Ben DeBruin), Troy (girlfriend Mary Hurley), and his beloved grandson, Vincenzo DeBruin, and many friends and family members. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Ed & Winifred Vosseller. Bruce always put family first. He was a dedicated, loving, kind, faithful, generous, philanthropic son, father, husband and grandfather who gave great advice and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Bruce spent the early part of his life on the farm cultivating his sense of entrepreneurship and a strong work ethic in Plainfield, Iowa. After graduating from Plainfield High School in 1963, he attended Wartburg College in Waverly, IA, then transferred to the University of Iowa and graduated in 1967. He moved to Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where he earned his MBA, and met his lifelong companion, Colomba. Bruce began his professional career as a math teacher in Kenosha, WI and went on to become the first School Business Manager at Jefferson school district. Later, he spent 13 years at Shorewood school district. He then worked in healthcare construction managing MRI building projects across the country. In 1988, he and Colomba took a leap of faith and started their own manufacturing business, Voss Products, Ltd. After selling the business, Bruce “retired” and stepped out from behind the desk to follow his parents’ footsteps and became a farmer. He transitioned the Iowa farm to be certified organic and worked passionately as a farmer for 10 years. Bruce loved jazz music, dancing, traveling, nature, hiking, conservation and spending time with his family – especially his only grandson Vincenzo. He was a skilled drummer, and even sat in with the band at his own wedding in 1970, showing off for his bride. Visitation at ST. JUDE THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 734 Glenview Ave., Wauwatosa, WI on Monday, October 24th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM concluding with the Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 PM.
