Bud Luko

Bud Luko of the town of Oconomowoc, passed away on November 1, 2019 at the age of 91. Bud was born and raised in Okauchee and remained a life long resident of the town of Oconomowoc until his passing. After high school, Bud worked for Davy Tree Service. Bud served as a clerk in the U.S. Army from 1946-1947. From 1950-1952, he served as a radio technician in the U.S. Army Air Corps in California. Bud was always self-employed having the Okauchee Hardware for a few years. He then started Gold Seal Sanitation Service, taking care of servicing septic systems locally and surrounding areas. He was also a master plumber taking care of his customer’s needs. Bud served on the Okauchee Fire Department for 43 years, 20 as Chief, retiring in 1996. He helped and oversaw many changes and improvements over the years. Bud was the last member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara in 2006; and brother, Robert in 2007. He is survived by his many close friends and neighbors. He will be missed by all. Thanks to all the caregivers at The View at Pine Ridge and Seasons Hospice Care for looking after Bud during his stay there. Memorials in Bud’s name may be made to the local Humane Society, or National Children’s Cancer Society. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 E. Summit Avenue, Oconomowoc, with a visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Glenview Memorial Gardens.
