Caleb Oliver Schuh was born on May 11, 2023, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to his loving parents, Cullen and Elise. On June 8, 2023, our mighty warrior Caleb received his angel wings. He was brave, courageous, and feisty during his time on earth. Caleb was loved immensely and will be deeply missed. As a newborn, he was incredibly handsome, sweet, cuddly, and loved to be held by his Mommy and Daddy. Happy times for Caleb included spending precious time with his family reading the Harry Potter books, receiving massages, and listening to his family sing and play music for him. He even learned some savvy dance moves! He was exceptionally fond of his “Mommy Milk” time, which always made him smile. He loved to smile, and his smile lit up the entire room! He was a beacon of light, a true blessing, and in his brief time on earth received from his loving parents the gift of selflessness, unconditional love, family, joy, and sunshine.
Cullen and Elise take comfort in knowing he is dancing with the angels in heaven as God watches over him until the three of them can be reunited again. Caleb will be remembered as a brave warrior, a snuggler, and a beacon of hope. While Caleb’s life on earth may have been short, he had a profound impact on the hearts of those who loved him most, in addition to those whom his story touched, an impact that will last forever.
Caleb is also survived by his fur brother, Radar Muffin, his grandparents, Steve and Sherri Gasper, Frank and Michelle Schuh, and great grandparents Richard and Lucille Fredrick and Mary Hunt. Caleb is also survived by his aunts and uncles, April and Gerrett Kordus, Travis and Kelly Rowland, Courtney and T.J. Remus, Kevin Gasper and Virginia Kuenzi, and his cousins Gavin, Ashton, and Rhylan Kordus, Landyn Rowland and many others whose lives he touched.
Caleb's parents are filled with gratitude for the love and compassion shown by the staff at Children's Hospital during their son's journey. The support and prayers of their church family at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, as well as St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Oconomowoc, St. Paul's Lutheran Church of West Allis, and many others, were also deeply appreciated. They are incredibly thankful for the love, strength, grace, and support their family and friends provided during this challenging time.
