Carl Gibney, 70, of Oconomowoc, WI passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born on June 1, 1948 to the late Earl & Georgetta (nee Shear) Gibney in Hillsboro, WI. He moved to Kenosha when he was young and attended the local schools there. Carl was married to Susan (nee DeGuire) Gibney until their divorce in 2000. He served in the Army from 1968-1970 along with a tour in Vietnam. Carl worked at Belle City in Racine and Navistar in Waukesha and retired in 2010. He enjoyed hunting, camping & fishing. He is survived by his 3 sons, Keith (Joey) of Waterford, Mike and Joel both of Oconomowoc; five grandchildren, Brady, Meichelle 'Miki', Logan, Billie and Kazmir 'KC' (Josh) Westphal of Delafield and one great grandchild, Kurt. Also surviving him are 2 sisters, Mary (Jim) Ahles of Franksville and Gloria (Jim) of Moundsview, Minnesota along with other nieces & nephews and his close friend Dawn Cashen. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Allen, Donald, David, Steven; sisters Tami Fanke and Connie Gibney. Services for Carl will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (1165 E. Summit Ave, Oconomowoc)on Friday, August 24, 2018. A visitation will be held from 4 pm until 6 pm with services starting at 6 pm. Burial will take place on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11 am at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the family.
