Carlene Mae Lindell of the Village of Dousman Services are set for Thursday, Dec. 7th, for Carlene Mae Lindell, of the Village of Dousman and formerly Town of Genesee, who was called to her eternal home on Sunday, Nov. 26 at Three Pillars Senior Living Communities. She was 86. Carlene graduated from Von Steuben High School in Chicago and received a bachelors degree from Capital University in Columbus Ohio. Carlene was an elementary school teacher and taught in a variety of positions in Chicago, IL, Prospect Heights, IL, Mukwonago, WI and North Prairie, WI. Prior to her move to Three Pillars, Carlene was an active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Prairie where she was involved with the Church’s preschool. She was a member and past president of the Golden Lasers Senior Group. Carlene loved playing card games, especially Bridge with her friends and Hearts with her family during cabin vacation. She loved to garden and enjoyed meeting with her friends in an informal garden club. Carlene was predeceased by her husband, Edwin T. Lindell Jr. and parents Carl and Myrtice Schmidt. Survivors include: two daughters, Nancy (Lee) Koeppel of Fort Atkinson and Linnea (Glenn Van Inthoudt) Koenigs of Richfield; one son, James (Milli) of the Town of Ottawa; one brother, Edward (Marilyn) Schmidt of Easton, MD. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Linnea (Andrew) Booher, Reece Koenigs, Jade Koenigs, Mariah Koenigs, Elysse (Crague) Lindell Cook, Korbin Lindell and Pierce Lindell, and one great-grandson, Oliver Cook. Visitation is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, December 7th. A Memorial Service will begin at 1 p.m. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Three Pillars Senior Living Communities – Ewald Chapel adjacent to Holz Pavillion, 410 North Main Street, Dousman, WI 53118 (262.965.2111) Pastor Terese Leonhard will officiate. The family will have a private burial at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Mukwonago. In lieu of flowers, financial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross 2600 W. Wisconsin Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53233.
