Carol F. Schroeder, 83 (O’Connor) passed away after a short stay with Angels Grace Hospice in her hometown of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin on Friday, June 14th, 2019. She was a resident of Delafield. Carol was born July 26, 1935 in Oconomowoc, where she attended Oconomowoc High School, and graduated in 1953. The friendships she made there were many, as she continued to gather with “the girls from high school” for a luncheon monthly until her most recent illness. She often served on reunion committees for friends as well. She worked for many years in the hospitality industry. People will remember her from Olympia Resort, The Beach House, Hilton Corporation (Kissimmee, Florida) No Place Restaurant, and the former Downtown Oconomowoc Inn, for cooking many wonderful meals. Carol loved to cook and was known to enjoy planning socials and gatherings with friends at her apartment complex in Delafield. She often provided rides to medical appointments and shopping trips to friends and neighbors. Her interests and hobbies included sewing and crafting, which she loved to share with her many friends and family members. Carol had three children: Nancy (J. Patrick) Storrs of West Bend, Tom (Margie) of Wales and David (deceased) with former husband Charles (Chuck) Schroeder. She is also survived by Grandchildren Tabetha Kebbekus of Mesa, AZ, James Ericksen of West Bend, Kristen Schroeder of Gillette, WI and Jennifer Brunker of Artesian, South Dakota, half brothers Robert Harrold of Memphis, TN and Richard (Helen) Harrold of Sun Lakes, Arizona, ten great grandchildren, other friends, in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Marilyn O’Connor-Case, and her mother Mabel Harrold, both of Oconomowoc. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 11:00am-2:30pm at Tom Schroeder's house (209 S. Highland St. Wales, WI 53183).
