CAROL J. JOHNSON Carol J. Johnson of Hartland, WI, passed away peacefully and gracefully on January 13th, 2014 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI, after living a full and eventful 80 years. Carol was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. After graduating from Bay View High School, Class of 1953, Carol became a Cast member of the Skating Vanities, a traveling roller skating show, enabling her to visit many places across the USA. Tiring of the entertainment business, Carol settled in Manhattan Beach, California in 1963 where she enjoyed a 30 year career as a Marriott Host Corporation Manager at Los Angeles International Airport. After retirement, Carol moved back to Wisconsin to be with family and friends. Never a person to sit still, Carol enjoyed working part time at the Hartland Dry Cleaners, volunteering during the Hartland Library book sale, and going on many fun gambling bus trips. She loved to help others and was an enthusiastic singer at church. She had a great love of animals, the beach and was an avid reader. Carol was a wonderful Mother, Daughter, Sister and Grandmother whose laughter and love of music will remain in our hearts forever. Although preceded in death by her beloved late son Alan K. Johnson of Torrance, CA, Carol is survived by her son Gary (Judy) Johnson and daughter Peggi (Tim) Vincent both of San Diego, CA. She is further survived by her Grandchildren, Chelsea Hermann, Alan Hermann, and Lance Johnson, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held this Spring at Arlington Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI where she will rest in peace with family members.
