Carol Priscilla Goeman

Carol Priscilla (Nevin) Sasso, Goeman passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024. She was born on April 14, 1937 on the family farm in Barron County, Wisconsin, to James and Josephine (Whiteford) Nevin.

Carol left the family farm at 16 and went to work at Cumberland Hotel while still attending high school. She moved to Waukesha in 1957 and joined First Baptist Church in 1959. She has been an active member there since and has been involved in many activities and on many boards. She very much enjoyed volunteering there.

She retired from St. Luke’s Lutheran Church after 23 years as an Administrative Secretary. Carol enjoyed doing things for others and would like to be remembered as a faithful Baptist at First Baptist Church and most importantly, as a mother who was always there for her daughter.

Carol is survived by her step-daughter Nichole Britten; nieces and nephews Harold (Anita) Nevin, Ronald (Bridget) Nevin, Jacqueline Pauley, David Nevin and Geraldine (Frank) Stauber.

Carol is preceded in death by her husbands Joe Sasso and Bill Goeman; daughter Micholina (Mickie) Sasso; brothers Harold and Melvin Earl Nevin; half-brother Wellington Lewis; half-sisters Madeline Soma and Dorothy George; step-children William, James and Sandy Nimm; along with many other loving family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have offered their love and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Baptist Church, HAWS, and the Jefferson County Humane Society in Carol’s name are welcome.

In celebration of Carol’s life, a visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 25 at First Baptist Church (247 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186) from 9:00am-11:00am with a service to follow.
