Carol J. Schnetter

Carol J Schnetter, born Dec 24, 1927, was a gift to everyone who met her. She was a loving, strong, kind hearted and quick witted woman. Anyone who met her loved her. She passed peacefully in her home with family at her side on the afternoon of Monday March 3rd. Joining the love of her life, the late John Schnetter “Charlie”. Preceded in death by her parents Michael & Hanna Mikas and her siblings Ruth Kruse & Earl Mikas. Survived by Eugene Kasmiskie (Rebecca Downie) and their children Jesse Downie, Jonathon Downie, Kelsey Kasmiskie, Shannon Roehl (Michael) and her children Wyatt and Annalise.

Raised in Milwaukee Carol spent her adult life with John in Oconomowoc, she loved her community. She showed strength and stood her ground in a man’s world, making strides for the future women to come. She will forever be remembered for her strength and compassion, helping anyone in need. She affected the lives of so many in such an enormous way. Her light will never extinguish from this earth!

Private burial will take place in the Lac la Belle Cemetery where she will join her late husband in their shared plot.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated in her honor to Haws of Waukesha, Wildlife in Need Center of Oconomowoc or the Wisconsin Bird Protection Fund as animals and birds especially were always a special part of her life.
