Carol Therese Zaffrann

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Therese Zaffrann, who was born to eternal life on March 4, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on April 3, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Carol brought joy, wisdom, and laughter to all who knew her.

Carol's academic journey culminated in a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Mount Mary College, a testament to her enduring curiosity and love for learning. For over 30 years, she shared her analytical prowess as a Systems Analyst for Northwestern Mutual Insurance, where her dedication and expertise positively impacted countless lives.

Carol was a passionate gardener and a lover of puzzles, finding joy in solving math problems and particularly enjoying the challenge of Sudoku. Her keen mind was matched only by her compassionate spirit and unwavering kindness. She was always there to lend a helping hand to everyone who needed it.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Martha, brothers Albert (Leone) and Robert (Sally) Zaffrann and sister Rosemarie Zaffrann.

Carol is survived by her sisters Nancy Zaffrann and Mary Alice Juechter (the late Gilbert); nephews Ron (Kathy), Craig (Celeste), Larry (Lynn), Jim (Sharon), Bob (Jenn) and Bill Zaffrann; niece Annie Zaffrann (Terry Williams); 7 great nephews and nieces; and 10 great-great nephews and nieces; along with cousins and friends.

A special thank you to the Aurora Hospice Team for their kind and gentle care.In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hunger Task Force in Carol’s name would be appreciated.

A short visitation will take place on Monday, March 17, 2025 at St. Anthony on the Lake (W280N2101 Prospect Ave, Pewaukee, WI 53072) from 10:30am-11:00am with a Mass to follow. Carol will be laid to rest at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Milwaukee.
