Christine Elizabeth Halaska

Christine E. Halaska (nee Korbar), 63, of Pewaukee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 with her family by her side. Christine is survived by her son and daughter, John Halaska and Korin (Michael) Phillips, granddaughters Caroline, Eva and Vivianne Halaska and Isabella, Liliana and Camiela Phillips, brothers Larry (Marilyn) Korbar, Mark Korbar and sister Carole (Jim) Kosterman. Christine is also survived by her nephew David Ugrich and niece Tamara Kret along with other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Elizabeth Korbar. Christine loved her 22 year career as a flight attendant at United Airlines. She enjoyed traveling the world, music, golf, good food and great wine. Christine found great joy in spending time with her closest friends and beautiful granddaughters. She will be forever missed by all that knew her. A memorial mass for Christine will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Oconomowoc on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the mass, all to be held at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine's memory can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (www.ocrf.org).
