Cindy Lynne Wenig

Cindy Lynne Wenig, age 63, of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 09, 2018. Cindy is survived by Lee, her loving husband of 39 years; her children Nicole (Michael) LeBuhn, Kristin (Chris) Woodard, Ariel (Zach) Schieffer; her grandchildren Emmett LeBuhn and Lily Woodard; her father Millard Savage; her siblings Scott (Wendy) Savage, Holly (Richard) Gerard and Karen (James) Bregger along with many more family and friends. Cindy is preceded in death by her mother Shirley (nee Schmechel). Cindy had an adventurous and loving heart. She grew up a wild child, exploring Hawaii’s hillsides and shores. She grew into an intelligent young woman, who went off to college to meet the love of her life, Lee. Throughout their marriage they had travel adventures, endless nights filled with joy, laughter, and absolute love. Their family grew to five with three beautiful girls of her own heart. Her fun loving spirit was present every day while raising her girls. Being a mom was her everything. She knew how to make each one feel special and make them feel loved every day. She shared with them her joy of art and music. She was recently blessed with the joy of having two grandchildren, who brought even more joy to her life. Cindy was the most passionate kindergarten teacher. She poured her heart and soul into her classroom and students. Cindy loved the Lord. She gave her time and her soul to the church as a Sunday school teacher and choir member. She lived out her faith by reaching so many family members, friends, and students with her caring and loving nature. The world is a better place because Cindy was in the world. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (145 E Lisbon Rd, Oconomowoc). A visitation will be held from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm.
