Clair Malone, age 89, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2018, after short stays at AngelsGrace Hospice and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. She was a lifetime resident of the Oconomowoc area. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, and reading. She was a retired receptionist from WCTC. She was also a member of the Wise Old Owls and St. Catherine of Alexandria Church. She is survived by her children Kathleen Ruehlow, Daniel (Dianne) Malone, Janet (Dean) Callahan, and Grace (Dana) Lenz, sister Joann (Bill) Rupnow, grandchildren Amy (Bill) Hennion, Bridgette (Mike) Childs, Mike (Meggan) Malone, Ann (Eric) Rizlove, Craig (Lisa) Ransom, Theresa (Bret) McKitrick, Renee (Brian) Woods, Lisa (Jason) Claude, David (Jessica) Ruehlow, Sara (A.J.) Thurmer, Michelle Lenz and Katie Lenz; great-granchildren Nicki (Bob) Arsiniega, Amie (Todd) Lauber, Brian Childs, Dan Childs, Randy Privett, Maxx, Cole, Cooper, and Tatum Malone, Luke, Ethan, and Alaina Rizlove, Cole and Jacob Ruehlow, Henry and Nora Woods, Zoe McKitrick, Roxanne Claude and Addison Thurmer; great-great-grandchildren Zoe Arsiniega, Taylor, Hayley, and Emma Lauber; care giver and special friend Meg Miller; sister in law Carol Miller, brother in law Mark McNulty, and many nieces and nephews. Clair was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Malone, her parents Art and Mary (Smith) Miller, siblings Francis (Molly) Miller, George Miller, and Margaret (Howard) Ireland; and son in law Gerald Ruehlow. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 23 from 2:00pm until time of Mass at 4:00 pm at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church (N557 Main St, Ashippun, WI), with Father David Verhasselt presiding. Burial at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to AngelsGrace Hospice are appreciated. Many thanks to the staff at AngelsGrace for the care and concern shown to Clair and her family.
