Claire Ann Hansen

Claire Ann Hansen, age 83, passed away on April 27. She was a longtime elementary school teacher in Jensen Beach, Florida, but spent the last years of her life in Watertown, Wisconsin.

Born in Rosholt, Wisconsin, to Winfred and Nora Jensen, Claire graduated from Central State Teachers College in Stevens Point. She moved to Florida in 1978 and loved her condo near the ocean. She also enjoyed going to movies and listening to the CD mixes her kids would make her, especially Johnny Mathis and Gloria Estefan.

Because of complications due to multiple sclerosis, she moved to Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown in 2011. There, she attended exercise classes, concerts, and activities and made it her mission to make people smile.

She is survived by her son, Rick Hansen of Orlando, Florida, and her daughter, Kerry Hansen of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, as well as her son-in-law, Matt Peller, and grandchildren, Finn and Noa Peller.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home from 11:00am-12:00pm with the service to follow. The family invites everyone to join them for a meal in the banquet hall after the service.

Claire loved the color pink, so feel free to wear it to the service in her honor.

The family would also like to thank the Marquardt Memorial Manor staff and Commonheart Hospice for their compassion and care.
