Claudia Karenz

Claudia 'Ky' Karenz, age 56, of Oconomowoc, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at AngelsGrace Hospice Center. Ky is survived by her son Kevin ?Digger? (Heather) Karenz of Oconomowoc and her granddaughters Andrea and Anna Mertins, brothers and sisters Neil Hirsch, David (Donna) Hirsch, Harry (Madeline) Hirsch, Ron (Cheryl) Hirsch, Gary (Tammy) Hirsch, Cheryl Schumacher, Bonnie (Jim) Parkin, sister in laws Lorraine Hirsch and Marleen Hirsch along with many nieces and nephews. Also survived by her best friend and long time companion Rodger Maerder and step granddaughter Tina (Edward) Adkinson. Ky was preceded in death by her parents Casper and Romaine Hirsch and brothers Timothy, Kenneth and Darrel Hirsch. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens at a later date. Ky moved to Oconomowoc in 1972 from North Dakota. She worked at Shorehaven Health and Rehab for 32 years. She loved bowling, participating in many fundraisers, walks, golf outings, and bowling outings and loved watching NASCAR and Matt Kenseth. She loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister.
