Cole Eichinger

Cole Michael Eichinger – son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend – died Friday October 13, 2023 at his family home in the Town of Poygan, WI. He was 17 years old and a Winneconne High School student attending New Horizons Alternative Education Center. He was anticipating his graduation in Spring 2024.

Cole was born February 15, 2006 to Terry and Mindy Eichinger. Along with his parents, Cole is survived by his sister Alana Eichinger; brother Nate Jechort; grandparents Terry and Betty Eichinger and Kathy Adamec; aunts and uncles Sarah Holbert, Matt and Nana Eichinger and Danny and D’Lacey Eichinger; cousins Shelby Holbert and Joshua Eichinger; his dogs Edgar, Maizy and Milly (his emotional support pug); along with many other relatives and family friends, especially Uwe Konopka. Cole was preceded in death by his papa Michael Adamec and uncle Joe Eichinger.

Cole was often misunderstood with characteristics frequently seen in kids on the autism spectrum with ADHD. Those that truly got to know Cole saw his sweet and gentle soul with a love for animals, hunting, fishing, video games, puzzles and collecting things (rocks, coins, cards, tools and many more). He will be remembered for his smile, his goofiness and his willingness to help. Cole loved to build and create things; with Legos when he was younger and wood, metal, wire, etc as he got older. Cole enjoyed watching hours of YouTube videos on how to make or fix things, how things were made or how things worked.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the special education staff from the Winneconne Community School District and New Horizons Alternative Education Center as well as his long time therapist Audra.

A private family service is being held. A celebration of Cole's life will be held on December 9, 2023 at Fin'n'Feather (22 W. Main Street, Winneconne, WI 54986) from 12:00pm-4:00pm. Please scan the QR code with the phone camera for info about raffle basket donation.
