Craig Lee Brimacombe

Craig Lee Brimacombe, 52, of Oconomowoc, passed away unexpectedly and suddenly on November 18, 2021, at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, Wis. Craig was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 9, 1969. He was the son of Jim and Pat Brimacombe. He was raised in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, where he went to Saint Mary’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Tomahawk High School in the class of 1987. He went on to run track collegiately for the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Adaptive Physical Education. Following graduation, he became a teacher and coach at Wisconsin Dells High School, while pursuing two Master’s Degrees in Administration and Educational Leadership from Marian University. Craig moved to the Waukesha County area where he served the community as an associate principal for the Hamilton School District for eight years. He then became a principal at Jefferson High School for four years and was a principal with The Richardson School for the past eight years of his career. Craig enjoyed working out, cooking, playing softball and being an avid Packers fan. The most important aspect of Craig’s life was his three children, Tatum (22), Vincent (19) and Max (17). He enjoyed coaching his kids in a wide variety of sports for many years. He can be remembered as a basketball, football, volleyball, track and field, and strength coach. He eventually retired from directly coaching his children and instead became a spectator who never missed a game. Above all, he enjoyed being a dad to his three children. Survivors include Craig’s children: Tatum, Vincent and Max; his parents, Jim and Pat of Tomahawk; siblings Corey (Heather) Brimacombe and Heather Leverance; along with many nieces and nephews. Craig was dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Jason; maternal grandparents, Charles and Dorris Cray; and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Josephine Brimacombe. A non-deductible donation in Craig’s name to The Richardson School (2802 International Ln, Madison, WI 53704) are appreciated. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at St. Bruno Catholic Church, 226 W Ottawa Ave, Dousman, WI 53118. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Father Dick Mevissen and Deacon Dave Bablick will officiate. Pagenkopf Funeral Home is assisting the family. Flowers and messages can be sent through the Pagenkopf Funeral Home website (www.pagenkopf.com). The family appreciates all the encouraging thoughts and messages during this time. Craig was a giving person throughout his life and was able to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
