David E. Hoisington, Sr.

David E. Hoisington, Sr., age 85, of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

David is survived by his children David (Janelle Harvey) Hoisington, Jr., Diana (John) McMullen, Andrew (Tammy) Hoisington, Elizabeth Hoisington and Mary Hoisington; his grandchildren Joseph (Julia), Jack, Chelsea (Denis), Jordyn (Alex), Parker (Jessica), James (Sarah), Andrew, Chris (Becca) and Austin; his great grandchildren Myah, Stella, Remee, Alivia, Parker Jr., Azariah, Quinn, Riley, Hayden, Blake, Grace and Johnny; his siblings Tom, Caroline, Georgia, Henry and Robert (Connie); along with many nieces, nephews and many more family and friends and his faithful companion Bernadette.

David is preceded in death by his wife Rose; granddaughter Samantha; sisters-in-law Cynthia and Joanne; brothers-in-law Jerry and Charlie.

David enlisted in the US Army from 1956-1960 and served in the Korean War. David had a long career at Allis-Chalmers (West Allis, WI) in the Advanced Technology Center, which took him worldwide working on hydro-power plants and material processing plants. As retirement approached, he had a passion for farming and collecting A-C tractors.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Services for David will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church (1001 S Silver Lake St, Oconomowoc) on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:00am. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00am-11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake Country Free Clinic or the Oconomowoc Food Pantry.
