David Lee Riddle passed unexpectedly on October 3, 2019. David was not however, someone to be defined by his struggles. David was born to Debruh (Tuskey) Knackert and James Riddle on March 16, 1969 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He was raised on a lake and enjoyed every water sport imaginable especially fishing and swimming. He owned Star Performance Pressure Washing and Deck Restoration. David was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, family member and friend. David was someone who was always present. He knew the importance of being there with loved ones. He had a servant heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be remembered for his consistent presence, his humorous attitude, and many passions. David was always quick to use humor to lighten up a room and put a smile on someone’s face. He also had many passions in addition to his love of family and friends. David was a passionate cook, avid hunter, and an excellent fisherman. David’s life and presence will be desperately missed but not forgotten. David is survived by his mother Debruh Knackert; father James Riddle Sr; his two daughters, Ashley Feldman (Phillip Tetzlaff, fiancé) of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and Lauren (Ben) Piskula of Ashippun, Wisconsin; his brother James Riddle Jr; companion Leah Hepfner; also his five grandchildren, Kylie, Tanner, Baby Cameron, Mason, and Shane; stepfather, Randall Knackert; and stepmother, Linda Riddle; also lifetime friends, Cari Smith and Craig Recker. He was preceded in death by stepfather, Gordon Lee Yanke; grandmother, Ganeen Burgett; and cousin, Edward “Willie” Roberts Jr. David was a man of faith, he was very spiritual. We entrust him to the Lord believing the truth of Ephesians 1:13 “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation – having also believed, you were sealed in him with the Holy Spirit of promise.” We are grateful for a merciful God that does not judge a life, because of the last act of Christ’s life on the cross. Romans remind us that nothing can separate a (Christian) from the (Love of God in Jesus Christ) (Romans 8:39). A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 E. Summit Ave, Oconomowoc, with a visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in David's name to the Cari Smith Cancer Fund.
