David R. Kejwan

David R. Kejwan age 81, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning September 27, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sharon; his children: Cheryl (Rick) Propp, Jon, Steve, and Kristin (Nick) Meske; his grandchildren: RJ, Ryan (Pam); and beloved Bubba to Kaden and great-grandchildren; Kendall and Aubrie, and brother Tom (Gene) Kewan of Eau Claire. David was born on June 27, 1937. He is proceeded in death by his mother Loretta, father Michael and infant daughter Barbara. He grew up in Milwaukee and attended Lincoln High School and UW Milwaukee where he excelled in basketball and football along with his love for chemistry. Dave was extremely hard-working. His career was in the paint business, the last 25 years at Hallman/Lindsay. Dave knew everything anyone needed to know about paint, but his real passion was playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Dave was a past member of Lac La Belle Golf Club and formerly on the Oconomowoc Police Commission. He also loved playing cards and sharing stories with his buddies on Wednesday afternoons. Dave was all about helping others. When he knew that he was in the beginning stages of dementia, he asked to donate his body to science to help find a cure for those who also suffer from this horrible disease. We would like to give special a thank you to all the wonderful caregivers at Azura Memory Care and Home Hospice facility. This was his adopted family and home for the past year and a half. Our family can’t thank them enough for the special care they gave this special man. Dave will be deeply missed by his family and those who had the privilege of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 15, 2018, at Schwefel’s Restaurant from 11am-2pm, including a service at 12:30pm.
