Delbert R. Luebke of Muskego, passed away at the age of 92 on January 29, 2021 at AngelsGrace Hospice. He was born on April 4, 1928 in Little Suamico, Wisconsin to Ernest and Sophia (Wiedenhaft) Luebke. Del is survived by his loving children, Peter Luebke, Jon Luebke, Vicki Luebke, Karen (James) Sigl; grandchildren, Dr. Christopher (Lynette) Keto, Jonyl (Dr. Casey) Okamoto, Jason Luebke, Michelle Luebke, Matthew Keto, Kirsten (Raymond IV) DeVries, Brandon (Kelly) Keto; great grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Ethan, Ellis, Benjamin, Alexa, Emma, Owen; and he will be missed greatly by other family and friends. Del was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor; his parents; brothers Glenn, Edwin, Roland; sisters Pearl and Florence. During Del’s youth, he played the cornet in the Lumberjack marching band at half-time during Green Bay Packer games. Del met his wife Eleanor in Kenosha while she was a kindergarten teacher and he was a chemist at U.S. Standard Products. They lived in the same apartment building and were next door neighbors. He would knock on the wall to get her attention. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1954 and served at Oakland Army Base in California. Del retired from Abbott Laboratories after 27 years. He held a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing and carved detailed replica ships. Per Del’s wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life is being planned for the summer when it is safe to do so.
