Diane Loral Giese, a beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024. She was born on March 5, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI, to parents, Alfred and Loretta Thuermann, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became.

Diane was a woman of quiet strength and unwavering character. Her genuine kindness and selfless nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a devoted wife to her husband Francis Giese, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and incredible memories for 54 years. Diane was also a loving and dedicated mother to her son Tom (Michelle) Giese and daughter Laura (Andy) Trudell, whom she cherished deeply. Diane is also survived by her grandchildren, Makayla and Megan Giese, Kailey and Drew Trudell, as well as her sister Rita Lund.

In her professional life, Diane excelled as an Order Writer and Department Manager in the Public Utility and Grocery industries. Diane also gave over 30 years to the Village of Hartland,serving as the captain in the polling station for all the elections. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and leadership abilities earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and superiors alike.

While Diane's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, her memory will forever be cherished. Her legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will serve as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

The funeral services and ceremonies to honor the life of Diane Loral Giese will be at Pagenkopf Funeral Home 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc on Friday, February 16th with a visitation starting at 4:00pm until time of service at 6:00pm.
