Diane R. Nestler

Diane R. Nestler, age 74, of Oconomowoc, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 09, 2016, her 74th birthday. Diane is survived by her loving husband Michael of 53 years; her children Susan (Michael) Thomas, Carol (Phillip) Wacker, Patti (Tony) Zingale, James Nestler (Dale Harding), Stephen (Tara fiance) Nestler; her grandchildren Shawn, Zachary, Sarah, George, Benjamin and Tony and her brother Jim (Bonnie) Strachota; her dear cousin Kathy (Sid) Earsley and her beloved friend Darlene Freels. Diane is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Ethel Strachota and her dear friend Lil Roethke, Diane was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family and grandchildren gave her life and allowed her to courageously fight for so many years. She was an enthusiastic people person and everyone who knew her loved her. She loved to read and cherished the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter. She instilled in her children many holiday traditions and a love of Christ. Despite many challenges, her faith never wavered. Services will be held at St. Jerome's Catholic Church (1001 S Silver Lake St, Oconomowoc) on Friday, November 18, 2016. A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:30pm - 4pm with a Mass of Christian Burial at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation of Wisconsin or the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee. A special thanks to the staff at Aurora Medical Center and Care Wisconsin for their loving care of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and friend. And especially to you dad for your tender care of mom.
