Dolores Theresa Wippert

Wippert, Dolores T (Née Lemke) Found Peace on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Preceded in death by spouses, Tim McCormick, George Iraci, Warren Wippert; her firstborn child Timothy and daughter Catherine. Loving mother of Lynn(Andrew) Smith, Gary(Denise) McCormick, Nancy(Steve) Knop, Peggy(Dennis) Kleckner, Tim(Gabriele) McCormick and step-mother to Warren(Jayne) Wippert. Caring grandmother and great-grandmother of many. Sister of Arline Thacker and mother-in-law of John Donald. Also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Dolores was born in Milwaukee but also lived In Menomonee Falls, Largo Florida and Oconomowoc. As a teen she worked at a bakery; after high school she worked at a bank. While raising children she worked part-time at Gimbels and then as a lunch lady for MPS. In retirement she volunteered at a hospital gift shop in Menomonee Falls and later in Largo at the hospital reception desk. She also was a pretty good Bingo caller at Teakwood Village. She will be remembered for her deep faith, her love of family, her fondness for graham crackers, ice cream and lilacs, her habit of mailing relevant newspaper articles or cartoons to family members, but most of all for the friendly smile she bestowed on everyone she met. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, June 15 from 9-10 am at Shorehaven Chapel 1305 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc with a Memorial Service to follow at 10am.
