Donald James Leonard

Donald James Leonard, Sr. 'Don', age 53 of Oconomowoc, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Don was a devoted husband to wife Cathy, loving father to Gina (Nick) Amundsen, Donnie (fianc Jessica Bachmeier) Leonard and Tony Leonard. Don is also survived by his parents Don and Judy Leonard, sister Kathy (Carl) Leonard-Mercier, sisters-in-law Cindy (Larry) Johnson, Robin Crossman and Dana (Jack) Riley, grandchildren Bentley Amundsen and baby Amundsen, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and best friends Eric and Beth Schroeder. He will be dearly missed by his special four legged companion Scout. Don was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, mother-in-law and father-in-law. Funeral services to celebrate Don's life will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Click on 'Make a Gift') or St. Jerome Catholic Church in Oconomowoc, WI. Don loved racing and his passion for racing started at Badger Kart Club in Dousman. He loved racing his formula Continental cars at Road America, Milwaukee Mile and Black Hawk Farms. He had a very successful 34 year career with Water's Industrial Supply Company in Brookfield. Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Froedtert SICU.
