Donald F. Wegner, age 82, of the town of Concord, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Milene, children David (Sharon) Wegner, Laurie (Bob) Koneck and Carrie (fianc Tom Nettesheim) West, grandchildren Karl and Kurt Koneck and Micah and Holly West, sister-in-law Ruth Wegner, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to say thank you to Donald's special caregiver, Zolzaya Sodnomentsen for all the care and love he gave Donald. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mabel Wegner, brothers and sisters, Ernst Wegner, Doris Kohls, Victor Wegner, Mabel Phyllis Bertel and Eunice Liesener, brother-in-law Thomas Hepp and son-in-law Adam West. Funeral services for Donald will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Dr. Martin Luther Church, 325 S. Main Street, Oconomowoc, WI, at 5:00 pm. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church from 2:00 pm until time of service. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI on Friday, April 20, 2012 with a graveside service beginning at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donald's name may be made to Dr. Martin Luther Church, Oconomowoc, WI. Donald Francis Wegner was born on October 18, 1929 in Oconomowoc, WI; the son of Herbert and Mabel Wegner. He graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1947. He then attended and graduated from UW-Short Course Farm and Industry Program. He was a dedicated dairy farmer and farmed for 43 years, where he raised registered Holstein. Donald was a lifetime member of the National and Wisconsin Holstein Association. In his younger years, Donald enjoyed bowling. He was on the church counsel and a member of the choir at Dr. Martin Luther Church. Faith, family and friends were a great part of Donald's life, along with his farming. He was a very hard-worker, dedicated family man and a loyal friend to many. Donald will be dearly missed but forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
