DOERING, Dorothy, J. (nee MacIntosh), 83, of Madison, passed away on Friday, June, 17, 2011, after a long illness with her family at her side. Dorothy is survived by her loving children Diane (Ron Burke) Doering, Matthew (Lori Macrander) Doering, Roberta Doering of Portland, Oregon, Lorna (Lori Wisnicky) Doering and brother Donald (Cynthia) MacIntosh. Dear grandmother to Elizabeth, Kimberly and Stuart. Dorothy is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Caryl MacIntosh and her ex-husband Werner Doering. Dorothy worked for many years at Rogers Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc and as a registered nurse at UW Hospital in Madison. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and spending time with her family and friends.The family would like to thank the entire staff at UW-Madison Hospital and the entire staff at Oakwood Village West for their continued care and support. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the RESURRECTION CHAPEL at OAKWOOD VILLAGE WEST, 6209 Mineral Point Road, Madison, WI, 608-230-4699. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Donations in Dorothy’s honor may be made to Oakwood Foundation, 6201 Mineral Point Rd., Madison WI 53705.
