Dorothy "Dotty" Cozadd-Schultz

Dorothy “Dotty” Cozadd-Schultz, age 76, passed away peacefully at AngelsGrace surrounded by her family. Dotty was born on July 22, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA to Charles and May Cozadd.

Dotty is survived by her loving husband, Herman; children, Barb Wolf, Lisa (Andy) Oestreich, Scott (former wife, Lori) Wolf, Brenda (Mike) O’Connor and Todd (Corrine) Wolf; her grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsey, Hunter, Hayden, Johnny, Rachel, Robert, Rachel, Derek and Dillon; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Roy) Starr, Char Cozadd and Nanci (Rodney) Rauch. Dotty is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gwynn Torres; and granddaughter, Kendal Hoban.

Dotty met Herman Schultz on October 1st, 1981, and after a lively whirlwind of love, married two months later on December 4th. Together, Dotty and Herman traveled and enjoyed country music. Dotty dressed to the nines in her leather and fringe for the concert performances they attended. Whether it was Alabama, Don Williams, Lorrie Morgan, Kenny Rogers, or Dolly Parton, Dotty’s fun-loving spirit meant she knew how to have a great time. She equally loved her casino runs and fully enjoyed her Fire Keeper’s Club membership at Potawatomi Bingo Casino.

Most of her working career, Dotty owned her own beauty salon, Hair Designs by Dotty. She treated her customers as family. Her heart was so large, she glowed with a joyful spirit of love for everyone she met.

With a cold Pepsi in hand, Dotty wasn’t the life-of-the-party; she was the party! She had a hilarious story (most likely true) to describe her adventurous life. Her smile, humor, and love of life will be deeply missed.

A private family memorial will be held to celebrate her life as she wished.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice for the comfort and care they provided Dotty in her final days; as well as to Pastor John Bass for his comfort, prayers and being there for us during this difficult time.
