Dorothy Lee Maule

Dorothy Lee (Yench) Maule, age 87 of Dousman, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was born January 6, 1937. Daughter of Matt Yench and Mabel (Kerr) Yench. Dorothy Married Robert Maule on June 1, 1963.

Dorothy was a Nationally Certified/Registered Emergency Medical Technician Ambulance Attendant, State Certified Emergency Medical Instructor/Coordinator, taught Emergency Medical Services for Waukesha County Technical College for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She was instrumental in helping to get ambulance service started in our community with the Dousman Volunteer Fire Department, (now Western Lakes), and was an ambulance attendant on the Dousman Volunteer Fire Department for 15+ years until retiring in 1994. Served as 1st Lieutenant of the EMS Department until retirement. She was President of the Dousman Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary for many years.

Dorothy was preceded in death by; husband Robert, parents, sisters Adeline (Rudy Winkelman), Shirley, (Harold "Squirt" Nelson) and brother Donald (Ardena) Yench.

Survived by sons, Michael (Holly) and Timothy (s.o. Jodi Sumpter) and beloved granddaughters, Kayla and Colleen (Michael Bennett), Great-Grandson Gatlin, Great-Granddaughter Rylee, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Highview Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Dousman. Funeral service at 12:00 PM with a visitation for family and friends starting at 10:00 AM until time of service. A burial will follow at Town of Ottawa Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested in Dorothy’s honor to Highview EPC building fund.
