Dorothy Ruth Guenterberg

OCONOMOWOC – Dorothy Guenterberg, age 93, of Dousman, found peace with her Savior on Tuesday, August 20 after a short illness. Dorothy is survived by her children, Barbara (John) Quill and Myron (Nancy) Guenterberg; grandchildren: Sherrie (Don) Reuter, Daniel (Rachel) Quill, Tom (Wendi) Guenterberg, Paul (Evie) Guenterberg, and Laurie (Daniel) Cole; great-grandchildren: Katie, Ryan, Paige, Chloe, Benjamin, Allyson, Micah, Mason, Bryce, Naomi and Nolan; a sister, Marion Dzomba; and brother, Ronald Neuman as well as sisters-in-law Marilyn Neuman and Mabel Guenterberg; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Milton, united in marriage for 63 years; an infant grandson, James Quill; sister, Evelyn Maasz; brother, Norbert Neuman; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law. Dorothy loved being a wife and mother – it was her joy to take care of her family. She was employed for over 25 years at Shorehaven and held other part time jobs until her retirement. They enjoyed weekends at their cottage up north, hosting many relatives and friends. Their doors were always open for company. Their social life revolved around their church, family and friends. Dorothy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ixonia for 68 years, being a charter member of their Ladies Aid. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 24 at 1 pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, W1204 Rockvale Rd, Ixonia, WI 53036, with Pastor Tetzlaff presiding. Visitation will begin at 11 am until time of service. Interment will be at Rock River Cemetery, Pipersville, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Dorothy are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church Improvement Fund, St. John’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, Lakeside Lutheran High School or Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.
