Douglas J. Scheerer

Douglas J. Scheerer, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer at age 63. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lorrie (nee Buchanan) Scheerer; son, Jeremy (Sarah) Scheerer; daughter, Stephanie (Jason Jung); brother, Brian (Terri) Scheerer; sister, Deidre (Kathy) Scheerer; grandchildren, Brenna, Stephen, Lily and Ava; and other relatives and friends. Doug was proud of his 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and won many awards, including 8 Grand Master trophies. He shared this talent with his many students from 1990 to present in his classes through the Oconomowoc Recreation Department and his school, Hartland Martial Arts. Doug was also an avid deer hunter and artist. He was a long-term employee of Briggs & Stratton until his retirement in 2006. The family wishes to thank the staff of AngelsGrace Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care. Services to be held (tentatively due to virus outbreak) in May of 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
