Edna (Nee Laue) Birbaum

Age 97, of Oconomowoc Lake, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. Ande is survived by her sons John Birbaum of Madison and Joe (Mimi) Birbaum of Oconomowoc; grandchildren Les (Diana) Birbaum of Delafield, Christina (Phil) Hove and Becky (Mike) Bohrman; great grandchildren Steve, Emma, Kendall and Alec Birbaum; Sophia and Ethan Hove; Cole, Paige, Mikey and Bryce Bohrman; sisters Laura “Bunny” (Ward) Dunlop and Dorothy “Dickie” Bagemihl, along with other relatives and friends. Betty Osborne was her dedicated goddaughter and caregiver. Ande was preceded in death by her husband Lester W. Birbaum and brother Edward Laue. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:30 AM at Zion Episcopal Church, 135 Rockwell Street, Oconomowoc, WI. Memorials made in Ande's name are suggested to Alzheimer's Association or Zion Episcopal Church. Ande was a former member of Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Oconomowoc Lake Club. Ande was a popular art teacher at Okauchee and other Oconomowoc area schools. She was a pilot who enjoyed flying, but most of all, she was a loving parent and spouse. Ande's cheery disposition and ability to help others will be missed by all.
