Edward Bertram

Edward Bertram 'Ed', age 79 of Oconomowoc was born to eternal life on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at AngelsGrace Hospice with his family by his side. Ed is survived by Helen, his loving wife of nearly 50 years, children Katherine (Mark) Evenson and Heidi (Jim) George, grandchildren Jacob and Sydney Evenson, Meg, Robyn and Christopher George, and sister Gladys LaBudde. Ed is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Ed Sr. and Kathryn Bertram, and sisters Esther Lucas and Mary Kohler. Ed was born on June 14, 1935 and raised in Milwaukee on Oak Park Court. Ed was a US Air Force veteran, a watchmaker for several years at Gimbels. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Okauchee Fire Department and served for over 30 years with the City of Brookfield Fire Department. Ed had a love for his family, sailing, flying, snow and water skiing, ice boating, motorcycle riding and serving his church. Ed will be dearly missed by his family and by all that knew him. Mass for Ed will be held at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, W359 N8512 Brown Street in Mapleton on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of Mass, officiated by Father Michael Strachota. The family would like to thank the Okauchee Fire Department, the medical staff at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc for the care and support they provided to Ed and his family.
