Edward H. Neitzel of Fort Myers, FL, passed away, peacefully at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs on October 20, 2016, at 90 years of age. He was married to his beloved wife, Marcella H. Neitzel for 68 years. Loving Father of Sally King, Christine Bode (Jeff), and Joyce Skalecki (Daniel). He was the proud Grandfather of Corey King (Tammy), Kelly Diderrich (Derek), Cal Bode (Kelly), Bridget Pedersen (Jason), Brandon Bode, Lynne Hooker (Doug), and Andrew Skalecki. Great Grandfather of Tessa and Maya Diderrich, Colin and Karley King, Cassidy Pedersen, Reese and Jack Hooker. He is also survived by his sister, Florence Zastrow (Dennis), Brother in law, Armin Tessmann (Shirley), and Sister in law Gwendolyn Nicholson (Carl). He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Hertha Neitzel, an infant son, Robert William Neitzel, and sister, Elfrieda Kulczynski (Eugene). A proud veteran of Word War II, Edward Neitzel served his country in Okinawa. He was an accountant and treasurer of Milwaukee Metal Stamping Corp. and Hettich Manufacturing, Dousman, WI. A longtime resident of Oconomowoc, WI, he and his wife retired to Fort Myers, FL in 1987 where he was a member of Kiwanis Club, a volunteer for Special Olympics, and a member of The American Legion. He was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. Edward Neitzel will be remembered as a generous, caring, Christian man who loved his family dearly and was a beloved friend to many. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 27th at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 East Summit Ave., Oconomowoc, WI, 53066 at 10 a.m. visitation at 9 a.m. and burial to follow the funeral service at Glenview Memorial Gardens, W1219 Glenview Ave., Ixomia, Wi, 53036. Donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 7401 Winkler Ave., Fort Myers, FL, 33919 or a charity of the donor's choice.
