Eileen Mary Wilkinson Daly, 67, died November 11, 2017 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin with her family at her side. Born in Milwaukee on November 17, 1949, to the late Dr. Philip Michael and Mary Elizabeth (Coffey) Wilkinson, she believed that she could not have been born into a more loving family and grew up in Oconomowoc with her three siblings. On August 24, 1974, Eileen married Robert Charles Daly, Jr., who she met while she counseled unwed mothers and he prosecuted unwed fathers, at St. Jerome Church in Oconomowoc. Together they had many adventures, great and small, and raised two daughters, who, in her words, are accomplished and caring. She considered her family to be the greatest accomplishment and blessing of her life. She attended Clarke College and Marquette University, graduating in 1971. Eileen worked for many years as a social worker and was particularly involved with and dedicated to assisting the frail elderly. She later switched to pharmaceutical sales to give her dendrites a new challenge. She learned from a wise friend to prioritize faith, family, friends, and fun and did so every day. She was deeply spiritual, and a thoughtful and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and the best friend one could have. Her insatiable curiosity made her even more endearing, as did her lifelong penchant for harmless mischief and her enviable temperament and sense of humor. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Bob; children, Elizabeth (Rick Daggett) and Brigid (Lindsey Day Farnsworth); brothers, Neal Wilkinson S.J. and Mark Wilkinson; and many relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Anne. Special thanks to the medical teams at ProHealth Cancer Center and Angel’s Grace Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 25, 2017 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in Oconomowoc with the Rev. Neal Wilkinson S.J. officiating and burial in St. Jerome Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 9-11 a.m. (Nov. 25, 2017) at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the Casa de los Pobres in Tijuana, Mexico, AngelsGrace Hospice, Oconomowoc, St. Catherine of Alexandra Catholic Church, Oconomowoc or the Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund., PO Box 824, Oconomowoc.
