Elaine E. Schmitt

Elaine E. Schmitt, age 96, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 surrounded by her children.

Elaine was the loving mother of Michael (Carrie), Dennis (Joy), Karen (Michael) Plichta, Patty (Wayne) McStrack, Terri (Mark) Huenerbein. She is further survived by her 12 grandchildren; her 22 great-grandchildren; her 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Barnett; and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents, Ernest and Esther (Goetsch) Soltwedel; and her two brothers and sister.

Elaine loved cooking, baking, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 W. National Avenue in New Berlin, with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
