Emily Rose Sattler

Emily Rose Sattler, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on February 29, 2024. She was born on April 30, 1989, to her loving parents David and Denise Sattler in Waukesha, WI.

Emily is survived by her parents; sister Madalyn (Matthew) White; maternal grandparents James and Roseann Sass; nephews Wyatt and James; niece Bella; aunt and godmother Deborah Sass and aunts Sharon Sattler and Sue Gehl; engaged to Michael Cobus; along with many other loving family and friends.

Emily is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Oliver and LaVerna Sattler; uncle and godfather Richard Sattler.

Growing up, Emily's summers were filled with family trips to Hayward, where she and her loved ones would bond over fishing and joyous moments by the lake.

Throughout her academic journey, Emily excelled in her studies with grace and precision, playing the violin from 5th-11th grade, where she played as First or Second chair in the orchestra and immersing herself in advanced placement classes. A unique soul with a flair for writing, Emily's early accomplishment of having her article on Rock N Roll published in a book for the Milwaukee Art Center showcased her creativity and passion for the arts.

Graduating from Kettle Moraine High School in 2007, Emily's unique spirit shone brightly, as she was voted "most unique" by her peers. Her intelligence and passion for learning led her to pursue higher education at UW Milwaukee, where she studied biology. Emily started her career with Green Design Center in Waukesha, WI where she excelled in various roles, eventually becoming General Manager, Director of Obscure Facts, and Manager in charge of Hilarious Comic Relief.

Emily's zest for life was evident in her love for hiking, insects, and music festivals, where she showcased her skills as a hula hoop master. Emily's interests also included astrology and she would be proud to say she’s a Taurus (understanding, tenacious) with a moon (inward self) in Aquarius (intelligent, creative) and rising (outward self) in Capricorn (overachievers, ambitious).

Notably, Emily was a dedicated fan of The Weeknd, and her love for felines and cat memes brought joy to all who knew her.

Emily will always be remembered for her selfless nature and compassionate spirit, never judging others and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kind heart touched the lives of many and her legacy of generosity will forever be cherished.

Emily's life will be celebrated and remembered with a visitation to be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at St. Jerome Catholic Church (995 S. Silver Lake Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 10:00am-12:00pm with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow.
