Ewald William Baumann

Ewald W. Baumann, age 91 of Oconomowoc, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013. Ewald is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Arline (nee Bergemann), daughters Bridget (Larry) Salser and Laurie Rheineck, grandchildren Dustin Salser, Jason (Melissa) Rheineck and Lisa Rheineck, sister-in-law Margaret Baumann and Delores Bauman, along with other relatives and friends. Ewald was preceded in death by his brothers Erwin, Albert and Wilmer and sisters Hilda and Elma and son-in-law William Rheineck. Funeral services for Ewald will be on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to a charity of one's choice. Ewald served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. After his career with the Navy he sold cars for many years. He was an all around handyman, who enjoyed woodworking and working on cars. In his free time he liked to snowmobile, boat and spend time with his family. Ewald was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Delafield American Legion Post 196. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
