Fern Alma Meyer

Fern A. Meyer, age 86 of Oconomowoc, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Fern is survived by her sister Dawn Haney, brother William (Suki) Meyer, nieces and nephews Ruth (Glenn) Christensen, Robert Haney, Richard Haney, Paul (Gina) Haney, June (Leon) Mattson, Kaye (Andy) Heup, Carrie (Robert) Krez, Margaret Meyer, Elizabeth (Jay) Werra, Edward Meyer, and Miriah (Brian) Meyer, along with other relatives and friends.Fern was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Ella Meyer, brother Edward and sister Ellen. A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM at the church. Fern was a graduate of Oconomowoc High School, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, and a resident at Wilkinson Woods. She worked in suburban Chicago for Marshall Fields in the display department. Upon retiring she moved back to Okauchee to care for her mother. During her free time, Fern enjoyed listening to baseball games on the radio, being involved in her church, traveling with her sister and brother, and celebrating many holidays with family. Fern had a great love for walking; she could often be seen exploring the streets of Oconomowoc with her good friend Virgina. Memorials suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
