Florence Pat Bergin

Florence (Pat) Bergin (Karaffa), 79, died at Riverside Lodge in the Three Pillars Senior Living Community at the Wisconsin Masonic Home on March 27, 2017 from dementia. Born in 1938 in Pewaukee, she lived in Pewaukee, Waukesha, and Oconomowoc and retired from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in 2004. Pat was a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic church and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, caring for pets, traveling, going for canoe rides, taking long walks, nurturing her flower gardens, cooking and decorating for the holidays, and watching birds, deer, and other wildlife. Pat is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Bergin; her children Deborah (David) Callies of Dousman, Scott (Mary) Bergin of Oconomowoc, and Jeff Bergin of Seattle; her granddaughters Lulu Callies of Madison, Katie Bergin of Oconomowoc, and Heidi Bergin of Portland; her sister Jane (Lauren) Marms, and brothers Doug (Karen), Don and John, all of Pewaukee; and numerous beloved extended family members, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Karaffa, and brother, Jack Karaffa. Pat’s family would like to thank the caregivers at Riverside Lodge and Serenity Hospice Care for their exceptional compassion, care and kindness.
