Franklin Delano Geers, age 84, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2019. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Arlene Geers, his children John Geers and Stephanie Harms, his grandchildren Bradley Geers, Bari Geers, and Greta Harms. Frank is further survived by his sister Delores Herzer. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Walter, Kenneth, and Esther Geers. Frank graduated from North Division High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He earned his electrical engineering and photography degree. His talents allowed him to work on the Apollo guidance system for NASA. His career was spent at AC Delco and Johnson Controls. Frank was proud of and instrumental in creating the sanitary district in the Village of Summit. The district encompasses several local lakes and still benefits hundreds of homes today. His passions included photography, playing with the Milwaukee Harmonica Club, hot air balloons, aviation, Packers, Brewers, and jazz music. Frank was able to fix anything and willing to help others whenever he was needed. Frank loved his family deeply. He was always willing to go the extra mile for them and could always be counted on for a funny joke. A funeral service for Frank will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home with a visitation for family and friends starting at 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM. A private burial with immediate family will follow the service. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials sent to the Billy Graham Foundation in Frank's honor.
